If you’re going to run, be it for the sheer joy of getting from here to there at a pace that outstrips walking, or for exercise or to save your life, it’s helpful to be wearing the right shoes. For instance, is there anything more irritating than watching the “chick in the flick” in high heels try to outrun the slobbering psycho? We, the audience, watch her futile and sweaty efforts indifferently, knowing full well the jig is up. Consider the same scene, but now she’s wearing sneakers. Better, right?
