Eddie and Monica couldn’t figure out how to settle their arguments. The latest one was a doozy. It was over the merit of lyrics of all things. Monica compulsively memorizes words to songs. Eddie insistes that it was all about the melody, the guitar riff, the silence between notes. Exhibit A — Rocket Man burning out his fuse up here all alone. Or twenty-five or six to four. Or any song with roses, flowers, moon, June for that matter, he rails on. They parted that Friday night annoyed with each other. But by Wednesday each was determined to give their relationship another try.
