Good Narrative Principles

It’s War

Dorothy is fearless. Insane. With her mop of red hair and sturdy shoes (not ruby slippers, thank you) Dorothy dishes out the BLTs, hash browns and spanakopita, the diner’s specialty, with precision and charm. The Boss funnels the toughest customers to her. Take the no-tip Mom and her brat, jacked up on Coke and Lucky Charms, seated at her prime booth. She watches as his coke spills into Mom’s lap. It’s war, the Boy shrugs by way of apology.
